pointless

Assault on Precinct 13 (2005): as far as action movies go, this is where the money's at. the movie is crazy intense and i was happy to see that not everything goes all perfect and planned. when you got a movie with ethan, morpheus, and adriana la cerva, can it go wrong? its just a really good action packed, entertaining movie. i have a complaint about the end where they randomly end up fighting in some forest area, despite this being in the middle of detroit or somewhere. kinda hard to believe, but i guess it just added to the action of it. buy it.

Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972): probably one of the better of the sequels. things really start to take shape as far as the apes' future goes. its also getting really deep with the nature of humans. the movie is by far the most violent and at times it seemed the little battles stretched on forever in order to get the movie longer than an hour. as these movies progress, the length of the movies get shorter and shorter probably because they are fighting to keep the plot moving. i could write a dissertation on the plot holes they have made since the first movie, but i'll spare you. one that i want to get off my chest is how in the world could life progress so rapidly in such a short time. the movie goes from the normal U.S. in the 70s, to some whack future in 1991, where the world revolves around a mile radius community in cali somewhere (looks like century city). you'd prolly have to see it to understand. but don't. don't see any but the first. one to go.

The Manchurian Candidate (2004): i hate meryl streep's performance. talk about over acting. granted, i've seen the original, yet i still kinda thought it was too predictable. the first was better in that it really went into detail on the brainwashing activities that went on. i just didn't like this one very much. its not a bad movie, just not very good. wished i had seen it without seeing the first one, but what can you do? see the first one, don't see this. denzel has done better.

i don't want to talk about anything right now. this blog has become retarded. for a while there i was pretty happy with it, but now its just a waste. it could be because most of my time is taken up with the movies, but luckily that will end soon. hollywood vid is running out of movies for me. i've gone through every new release and dvd that are on my lists and last night i started working on their vhs sections. lots of goodies in there. but it all comes to a crashing halt on february 11th. then i can get back to maybe writing about my past. the only problem is that i probably can't get away with writing about certain things on here. for some reason, the majority of things i remember usually involves girls and partying and acts of illegality. basically the crazy years of my teens. i know some people would rather go without having to read about all that. we'll see what happens.

kim gets her wisdom teeth out on thursday and jessIE on friday. feel pretty bad for both of them, but hey, if i can get a kidney stone and live through it, i'm sure a little pain for a few days won't kill ya. looks like my scholarship moola will be headed for bush's pockets because my job is a freaking joke and i've been taxed like a mofo. that's always the day brightener.

i see my psychiatrist tomorrow at 1 for the first time so maybe i'll have more to write about then. i keep picturing me going in there and talking like tony and hashing out all my troubles in the waste management business. i'm sure it won't happen and the doc will just tell me to suck it up and quit complaining about life. should be interesting.

look, i'm feeling a lot of pressure right now to write something clever, but don't come to me looking for that. i'm just me and i really don't have anything to tell you. if you want the goods, go talk to matt (this and that). that stuff is interesting, not my movie reviews.
